Outsourcing support should make something measurably better. If you cannot say what, it is hard to know whether it is working. Choose a few numbers before you start.
Numbers worth tracking
Missed or abandoned calls. This is the most direct measure of coverage.
First response time. How long a customer waits before getting a real reply.
Resolution rate. The share of requests solved without your team stepping in.
Escalation quality. Whether escalated issues arrive with the full context, so nobody asks the customer to repeat themselves.
Set a baseline first
Record two to four weeks of current numbers before the handoff so you have something to compare against.
Review on a schedule
A short weekly check in the first month, then monthly, catches problems early. Listen to a few real calls or read a few tickets yourself; numbers do not show tone.
