The challenge
Dispatchers coordinate carriers, shippers, and loads that change by the hour. Spreadsheets and phone calls don't scale, and proof of delivery often arrives late or on paper, which delays invoicing. The dashboard needed a data model that keeps carriers, shippers, and live loads connected, plus a way for drivers to close out a delivery from the road.
What we built
- A relational schema engineered to track carriers, shippers, and live loads together
- A dispatcher dashboard with a live view of loads in progress
- A mobile-first module where drivers upload Proof of Delivery (POD) instantly
- Map-based tracking through the Google Maps API
- A Next.js front end designed for fast, daily use by dispatch teams
